In the era of digital transformation, where most professions are rapidly moving online, owning a powerful yet portable laptop has become a necessity. This is especially true for designers and programmers—those whose work directly depends on the performance of their hardware. Professionals in Portugal are increasingly choosing devices that combine high computing power, high-quality displays, and long battery life.
Portability is also important—not every day is spent in the office, as many prefer to create in Lisbon’s cafes or code from Porto’s co-working spaces. And sometimes, it’s essential to take a break with an online game or a light online distraction, including virtual Casinos e Apostas, to let the mind reset.

What to Consider When Choosing a Laptop for Professionals

Before diving into specific models, it’s worth understanding what exactly makes a laptop suitable for design or programming tasks. First of all, the processor. The higher its performance, the faster it can handle tasks like compiling code, rendering images, or processing video. Today, Intel Core i7, i9 and AMD Ryzen 7, 9 of the latest generations are considered optimal for these purposes.
Next is the graphics card. For graphic design, 3D work, animation, or visualization, laptops with discrete GPUs such as NVIDIA GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon, or professional graphics adapters like NVIDIA RTX A-series, are essential. For programmers not dealing with graphics or machine learning, integrated graphics are usually sufficient.
The display is equally important. Designers require IPS or OLED panels with wide color gamut (100% sRGB and above), high brightness, and resolution starting from Full HD or higher. Programmers, who spend hours in front of the screen, benefit from features like blue light reduction and matte displays to reduce eye strain.
RAM also plays a key role. At least 16 GB is recommended, ideally 32 GB—especially if you frequently run heavy IDEs, dozens of browser tabs, and virtualization systems simultaneously. The storage should be SSD, preferably 512 GB or more, to ensure smooth performance and quick file access.

In recent years, the computer hardware market has undergone a real transformation. On the one hand, high-performance laptops and PCs are becoming increasingly powerful, offering incredible opportunities for gaming, 3D graphics, and programming. On the other hand, prices for such devices continue to rise, making them less accessible to most users in Portugal. However, there is a solution: the market is increasingly offering budget alternatives that deliver decent performance for a much lower price. The key is knowing what to look for when choosing and where to find a smart compromise.

What’s Behind “High-End” Specifications?

To understand where savings are possible, it’s important to know what exactly users are paying for when buying a premium device. High-end laptops and PCs typically feature flagship processors (such as Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9), powerful NVIDIA RTX 4080 graphics cards, fast 1–2 TB NVMe SSDs, and 4K displays with high color accuracy. Branding also affects pricing: devices from Apple, ASUS ROG, Alienware, or MSI Prestige cost more not only due to their hardware but also their reputation and design.
However, not all users need even half of this power. A programmer working with text and a browser doesn’t need a top-tier GPU. A graphic designer needs a good display and enough RAM, but not necessarily the latest processor. A gamer may only require smooth performance in Full HD, not 4K at ultra settings. Understanding these distinctions is key to smart savings.

Which Components Can Be “Trimmed” Without Sacrifice?

The first thing to reconsider is the choice of processor. Instead of an Intel Core i7 or i9, you can confidently go for a recent Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5. In most day-to-day tasks—from programming to working with spreadsheets and light video editing—the performance difference is minimal, while the cost savings are significant.
Second, the graphics card. If you’re not planning on serious gaming or 3D rendering, models like the GTX 1650, RTX 3050, or even integrated graphics such as Radeon Graphics in AMD processors will do just fine. They handle most office and multimedia tasks, as well as basic photo and video editing.
Third, the display. Designers need high-quality panels with excellent color coverage, but for student or office laptops, a simpler IPS panel with Full HD resolution will suffice. There’s no need to pay extra for OLED or 4K.
Savings can also be found in SSD storage size. Instead of 1 TB, choose 512 GB and use an external drive when necessary. For RAM, 8 GB is enough for basic tasks, while 16 GB is ideal for multimedia and multitasking. If you’re on a tight budget, make sure the device allows for future upgrades.

Top Budget Brands and Models Available in Portugal

In the Portuguese market, brands like Acer, Lenovo, Huawei, Honor, and even local retail builds from Worten or PC Componentes have proven themselves. For example, the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 with a Ryzen 5 processor and 16 GB RAM offers an excellent balance of price and performance for developers and freelancers. Huawei MateBook D and Honor MagicBook often come with aluminum bodies, long battery life, and IPS displays, all for under 700 euros.
For desktop PCs, it makes sense to build a custom setup or opt for refurbished computers. This trend is growing rapidly in Portugal, and platforms like iStore.pt, Rebuy.pt, or sections of OLX and Amazon Renewed offer certified hardware at reduced prices with warranty.

How to Avoid Mistakes When Buying?

Before purchasing, be sure to read reviews of the specific model, watch video overviews, and compare prices across different stores. Don’t rely solely on brand names—lesser-known manufacturers often provide better value for money these days. If you’re unsure about specifications, consult with a sales rep or tech expert.
Also, consider the software. Some budget laptops are sold without pre-installed Windows, which lowers the price but means you’ll either need to purchase a license separately or install Linux (such as Ubuntu), which is a great option for programmers.

Is Saving Without Disappointment Possible?

Yes, especially in 2025. Today’s budget PCs and laptops are no longer just “internet machines.” They handle most work and study tasks with confidence, support video calls, graphics tools, code editors, browsers with dozens of tabs, light gaming, and much more. If you choose your device wisely, it will serve as a reliable tool for many daily needs.
The key is to understand your own priorities. If mobility is important, look for a compact laptop with strong battery life. If you need power, consider a desktop PC with upgrade potential. If you’re studying or working remotely but not doing heavy graphics work, there’s no need to pay for high-end specs you’ll never use.

Conclusion

So, in a time of rising electronics prices, choosing a budget-friendly alternative is not a compromise—it’s a smart strategy. Focus on what truly matters for your work or studies, and you’ll find a device that fits your needs in performance, style, and price. The Portuguese market offers plenty of options, so you don’t have to overpay for a brand to get a reliable, capable tool—whether it’s for coding, design, or everyday tasks.

The traditional game of roulette that we all know and love is played on a single wheel. All the classic variants, like European, French, and American roulette feature a wheel that has the numbers from 1 to 36, and green pockets (1 in the case of European, and 2 in the case of American roulette). You place your bet, the ball is released, and the number that’s picked is the winner. But what if there was a way to play at multiple roulette wheels at once? That’s exactly what Multi Wheel Roulette offers.

This special roulette game is exactly what the name suggests – a game where you play on multiple roulette wheels. There are different variants of this game, with some of them being played as an RNG game, while others are live dealer games. But the idea is the game – you place a bet, and there are many roulette wheels in play. The first such game to be introduced was Microgaming’s Multi Wheel Roulette, which has 8 wheels, and you adjust your bet depending on how many wheels you want to be in play. However, different software developers have used different mechanics for the game, so here, we’ll introduce you to the different versions of this game, and how they work.

How Multi Wheel Roulette Games Work?

The idea behind this variant is to play on several roulette wheels at the same time. This not only speeds up the game, but opens up new betting opportunities. The first Multi Wheel Roulette game to be released and gain popularity was Microgaming (Games Global) version, which features 8 wheels that can be spun after each bet that you place.

You choose your bets like in any other roulette game, and click on the spin button. Since this is an RNG game, there is no real dealer to spin the wheel, so everything is automatic and you can choose to watch the wheels spinning or get the result immediately. But here’s the twist: it’s up to you to choose on how many wheels you want to play. For example, if you choose to only play on three of the eight wheels, your bet is calculated x3. So, if you placed a $10 wager on Red, your bet would cost $30.

After the results are in, each of the wheels is checked against your bet. If you have won on two of the three wheels you were playing it, you will be paid out $40, but you will lose your $10 wager you placed on the third wheel with the bet you lost.

The idea is that the more wheels you play, the more chances you have to win, which makes it a bit like buying multiple lottery tickets at once. However, this game is also considered a high-stakes roulette option, especially if all eight wheels are in play, which can make the bets pretty costly.

Different Variants of the Multi Wheel Roulette Game

While Microgaming’s version is one of the most popular versions out there, other software developers have released their own variants of roulette games with multiple wheels. Some of the follow the Random Number Generator (RNG) model, while others have used the idea to create Multi Wheel Live Dealer roulette games, where all the wheels are spinning in real time.

The rules are different in each game. For example, Evolution Gaming’s Instant Roulette, which is one of the most popular roulette games with multiple wheels, uses 12 wheels. But, the rules here are very different than Microgaming’s Multi Wheel game:

  • 12 Roulette Wheels: Evolution’s Instant Roulette uses 12 roulette wheels instead of 8.
  • You only bet on one wheel: In this game, you can’t bet on all the wheels simultaneously. Instead, you place your wager, and it applies to one of the 12 wheels that’s the soonest to end the spin. So, if you place a bet on Red worth $10, and the first ball to stop on any of the 12 wheels lands on Red, you will win $20.
  • It uses the European roulette wheel: The Instant Roulette game uses the standard European wheel, which sets the RTP at 97.30% with a house edge of 2.70%.

How Do You Play Multi Wheel Roulette?

The betting layout of the majority of multi wheel variants are largely the same with any other standard variant, so you will be able to place the same bets. Let’s take Microgaming’s game as an example:

  1. You start by turning on the game. Then, you should choose how many wheels you want to play it. You can choose any number between 1 and 8 wheels. By choosing this number, you will choose how many of the wheels will be active during the gameplay.
  2. In the next step, you should place your bets. The betting grid is the same as any other European roulette game, so you can place all the same inside and outsite bets, like Straight-Ups and Splits, or Columns and Red/Blacks.
  3. The game will automatically calculate the size of your wager based on how many wheels you have active. If you place a $5 wager, and you have 8 active wheels, you will wager $40.
  4. Since this is an RNG game, you will have to click on the Spin button to spin the wheels. Once you click the button, the active wheels will start spinning, and soon enough, the results will be in.
  5. You will be paid out for bets you have won on the active wheels. The winnings add up for all the bets that you have won. However, the amount you have lost will be deducted from your bankroll.

In the world of gaming, streaming has evolved from a niche hobby to a mainstream activity, often requiring high-performing hardware. However, optimising your gaming laptop for streaming is not just about having the latest and most powerful components. While hardware plays a significant role, understanding how to fine-tune your system, manage software settings, and optimise network connections can greatly enhance your streaming experience. This article explores advanced tips and strategies that go beyond hardware upgrades, focusing on software optimization, network management, and performance balancing.

Mastering Software Optimization

While a powerful GPU and CPU are crucial for gaming and streaming, the way your software is configured can make or break your streaming experience. Here’s how to ensure your software setup is primed for performance.

Fine-Tuning Your Streaming Software

The choice of streaming software—whether it’s OBS Studio, Streamlabs, or XSplit—directly impacts the quality and smoothness of your stream. After installation, spend time customising the settings to fit your specific needs. This includes:

  • Encoder Settings: Choosing the right encoder is essential. While software encoding (x264) offers excellent quality, it can be CPU-intensive. Hardware encoders like NVENC (for NVIDIA GPUs) offload the work to the GPU, freeing up your CPU for gaming tasks. Experiment with different settings to find the balance between quality and performance.
  • Bitrate Adjustment: The bitrate controls the amount of data sent to streaming platforms like Twitch or YouTube. A higher bitrate improves quality but demands more from your internet connection. If your upload speed is limited, reducing the bitrate slightly can prevent lag or buffering without significantly impacting the visual quality.
  • Resolution and Frame Rate: Streaming in 1080p at 60fps is ideal, but it’s not always feasible on a laptop. Consider lowering the resolution to 720p or the frame rate to 30fps to reduce strain on your system, especially if you notice performance dips.

Managing Background Processes

Even high-end gaming laptops can suffer from performance issues if too many background processes are running. Streaming and gaming are resource-intensive tasks, and it’s vital to ensure that no unnecessary software is consuming precious CPU, GPU, or RAM resources.

  • Task Manager Optimization: Regularly monitor your Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) to identify and close applications that are not needed during your streaming sessions. This includes browsers, updaters, or any other software that might be running in the background.
  • Startup Programs: Limit the number of programs that launch on startup. This ensures that when you start your laptop for a gaming and streaming session, your system resources are directed to where they are most needed.

Network Configuration for Seamless Streaming

A stable and fast internet connection is the backbone of a successful stream. Beyond just having a high-speed internet plan, there are several network-related tweaks you can make to ensure your stream runs smoothly.

Prioritise Your Network Traffic

Modern gaming laptops often come with network optimisation software that allows you to prioritise bandwidth for certain applications. Using this software, ensure that your streaming software and game are at the top of the priority list.

  • Quality of Service (QoS) Settings: If your router supports it, configure QoS settings to prioritise gaming and streaming traffic. This is particularly useful if you share your internet connection with others, as it helps ensure that your stream remains stable even when other devices are online.

Wired Over Wireless

While Wi-Fi is convenient, it is more susceptible to interference and fluctuations in speed, which can result in a poor streaming experience. For the best results, always opt for a wired Ethernet connection when streaming. If a wired connection isn’t possible, consider upgrading to a high-quality Wi-Fi 6 router, which offers better performance and stability compared to older standards.

Balancing Performance: Gaming vs. Streaming

One of the biggest challenges when streaming on a gaming laptop is balancing the resources between the game and the stream. Here are some tips to maintain smooth gameplay while delivering a high-quality stream.

Game Settings Adjustment

Lowering in-game settings can free up resources for streaming, especially on laptops where hardware is already under significant load. Focus on reducing CPU and GPU-intensive settings like shadows, anti-aliasing, and particle effects. Most modern games have built-in presets, making it easier to switch to a more stream-friendly setup without manually adjusting each setting.

External Hardware Considerations

If your laptop is struggling to handle both gaming and streaming, consider using an external capture card. This device offloads the encoding process from your laptop, allowing it to focus solely on running the game. While an external capture card is an additional investment, it can significantly improve the overall streaming quality and reduce system strain.

Monitoring and Adjusting On the Fly

Streaming software often comes with built-in performance monitors that can alert you to potential issues, such as dropped frames or high CPU usage. Pay attention to these alerts and be prepared to adjust your settings mid-stream if necessary. For example, you might lower your game’s resolution or adjust the bitrate to maintain a stable stream.

Optimising your gaming laptop for streaming involves more than just high-end hardware. By mastering software settings, managing network traffic, and balancing performance, you can create a smoother, more professional streaming experience. These tips, tailored for gamers who want to go beyond basic hardware upgrades, will help you achieve the perfect balance between gaming and streaming, ensuring that your audience enjoys high-quality content without interruptions.

When gamers think about optimising their systems for the best possible performance, they often focus on the latest GPUs and CPUs. However, RAM and storage configurations play equally important roles in determining how well a game runs, how quickly it loads, and how responsive it feels. By understanding the interaction between RAM, storage types, and other system components, you can significantly enhance your gaming experience.

The Role of RAM in Gaming

Random Access Memory (RAM) is a critical component in any gaming system. It temporarily stores the data your CPU needs to access quickly, allowing games to run smoothly and reducing instances of lag. The amount of RAM you need depends largely on the types of games you play and the demands of your operating system.

In modern gaming, 16GB of RAM is generally considered the sweet spot for most setups. This amount is sufficient to handle the memory demands of most current games, as well as multitasking—such as streaming gameplay or running additional applications in the background. For gamers who engage in heavy modding, video editing, or use applications that require high memory usage, 32GB or more may be necessary to maintain smooth performance.

However, simply adding more RAM isn’t always the answer. The efficiency of your RAM depends on how well it pairs with your other components, particularly your CPU. A high amount of RAM with a mid-range CPU may not result in a noticeable performance boost. Therefore, it’s crucial to balance your hardware to ensure that your CPU can fully utilise the available RAM, preventing bottlenecks and ensuring an optimal gaming experience.

The type of RAM also plays a role in performance. Faster RAM speeds can contribute to shorter load times and improved frame rates, particularly in games that are more memory-intensive. DDR4 RAM, for instance, offers higher speeds and better performance than its predecessors, making it the standard choice for most gamers. As technology advances, DDR5 is starting to become more common, promising even greater improvements in speed and efficiency.

Storage Configurations: SSD vs. HDD

Storage configuration is another key factor in gaming performance, especially when it comes to load times and data retrieval. Traditionally, gamers relied on Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) for their storage needs due to their large capacity and lower cost. However, the advent of Solid State Drives (SSDs) has changed the landscape, offering significantly faster read and write speeds.

SSDs use flash memory, which allows them to access data much faster than HDDs. This speed advantage translates directly into gaming performance, reducing load times and providing a smoother overall experience. For instance, games with large, open-world environments, such as The Witcher 3 or Red Dead Redemption 2, benefit greatly from the faster data retrieval of SSDs, which reduces stuttering and improves the flow of gameplay.

A common configuration among gamers is to use an SSD for the operating system and frequently played games, while an HDD is used for storing larger files, such as media libraries and less frequently accessed games. This setup offers the best of both worlds: the speed and responsiveness of an SSD, combined with the large storage capacity of an HDD.

For casual gaming, or for those who enjoy playing online slots or casino games, the difference between SSD and HDD might not be as noticeable. However, the speed and efficiency provided by an SSD can still enhance the user experience by reducing load times and ensuring that games run smoothly. For those interested in a variety of gaming options, including online slots, https://playfortuneforfun.com/ provides a range of games that are optimised for various system setups.

The Advantages of Hybrid Storage Solutions

Beyond the simple SSD vs. HDD debate, hybrid solutions are becoming increasingly popular among gamers. These solutions combine the high-speed performance of SSDs with the large storage capacity of HDDs, providing a balanced approach to storage. For instance, a 1TB SSD can be paired with a 2TB HDD, offering enough space for large game libraries while ensuring that your most-played games and your operating system benefit from the speed of the SSD.

Another aspect to consider is the type of SSD. While SATA SSDs offer a significant improvement over HDDs, NVMe SSDs take things a step further by providing even faster data transfer speeds due to their direct connection to the PCIe bus. This can further reduce load times and improve game responsiveness, particularly in titles that require frequent access to large amounts of data.

When planning your storage configuration, consider the types of games you play and how much storage space you typically need. For example, if you’re a fan of expansive open-world games or detailed simulation titles that require frequent data streaming, investing in a larger NVMe SSD may be worthwhile. On the other hand, if your gaming library consists mainly of smaller, less demanding games, a combination of a smaller SSD with a larger HDD might be more cost-effective.

Balancing RAM and Storage for Optimal Gaming

Achieving the best gaming performance requires a careful balance between RAM and storage. Investing heavily in one area while neglecting the other can lead to suboptimal performance. For example, having 32GB of RAM paired with a slow HDD might result in fast game loading initially, but longer load times during gameplay as data is retrieved from the storage drive. Conversely, a system with a fast SSD but only 8GB of RAM might struggle with multitasking or running more demanding games, leading to stuttering and lag.

A well-rounded gaming setup typically includes 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD, which provides sufficient speed and capacity for most games. For those who need more, upgrading to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD can provide the headroom needed for more demanding applications and larger game libraries.

Furthermore, if your gaming preferences include fast-paced online slot games with intricate graphics and smooth gameplay, such as the big bamboo demo, having a well-optimised system with sufficient RAM and a high-speed SSD will enhance your experience. The rapid load times and seamless transitions between different stages of the game, made possible by this setup, will ensure that your gaming sessions are as enjoyable as possible.

In conclusion, while it’s easy to focus on flashy GPUs and powerful CPUs, the importance of RAM and storage configurations should not be overlooked. By carefully selecting and balancing these components, you can significantly improve your gaming performance, reduce load times, and ensure a smoother overall experience. Whether you’re diving into the latest AAA title or enjoying the thrill of online slots, having the right setup can make all the difference.

Buying a new PC is a very crucial moment, sometimes it can take a lot of time and effort. How to choose a computer without unnecessary financial and time costs? After reading this short article, you will be much closer to solving the problem. Everything is simple when you know the algorithm. This article is a practical guide for users of our site and you can easily choose a system unit for your personal computer.

How to choose the right PC option, and what you need to consider

Office computer option

Modern computers are divided into several main segments – gaming, office, home, graphics, industrial. In turn, these categories are subdivided into smaller groups with a narrow specialization. Let’s start with office machines. The main tasks are working with Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, outlook), accounting programs, preparing printed material, contracts, descriptions, cash services, surfing the Internet, and so on. In short, office computers are one of the cheapest options for stationary PCs.

To perform the tasks assigned to it, you do not have to buy an expensive video card (which sometimes amounts to 50% of the cost of the system unit), integrated (embedded) on the motherboard is enough. A 500 Gb hard drive will in most cases satisfy the needs of any office system manager.

8Gb RAM will handle the vast majority of running applications. You can also save costs by eliminating the installation of an optical disc drive (DVD-RW). Let’s add here a budget case, and we will get a solid computer for the office. Such a computer is presented in this category. If for some reason these parameters do not suit you, go to the product card (click on the picture of the case) and then the magic button “change configuration”, and add the missing nodes or change the already installed ones.

Home computer option.

With the help of our constructor, you can easily replace 500Gb with 1000 or even 4000Gb, install an SSD drive to speed up the operating system. By increasing the RAM to 16Gb and replacing the processor with an Intel i3 or i5, adding a CD drive and a video card, for example, a GeForce GTX 1660Ti at 6Gb, you can safely move on to another category of home PCs. I hope you notice that the cost of such a computer is much higher – it will give you the opportunity to watch your favorite movie in good quality Full HD 1080, the child will be able to play any modern games, you can listen to music in different formats. Skype, social networks, the Internet – he will cope with any task. This is the second computer in this category. A good option for a solidly assembled home computer that takes into account the needs of the whole family.

Choose a powerful gaming computer

Let’s be consistent and modify our home computer into a harsh gaming PC. Everything is a little more complicated here. The processor is invariably Intel and preferably i7. RAM only DDR4 and 16Gb minimum, better than 32Gb Kingston Fury or Corsair Vengeance. It is advisable to use 4 modules (4 * 4 or 8 * 4), in this case the potential of the processor-logic of the motherboard-RAM memory will be fully unlocked. The motherboard manufacturer must be one of the big three – MSI Gaming, ASUS ROG or GIGABYTE based on the Z470 chipset with the most powerful integrated sound, a gigabit network card (sometimes a built-in wi-fi module) and the ability to install up to 2 video cards, sometimes 3 . Hard disk 2000Gb, more if you are a fan of collecting movies and music, store large amounts of data. Choosing a gaming computer

Now about the main thing. The most important element of a powerful computer or graphics station is definitely a video adapter. Modern, high-performance video cards are assembled on chips from NVidia GeForce RTX 3070 with 8Gb or 3080 10Gb RAM, respectively, such monsters can easily handle any cutting-edge gaming blockbuster. But even they are not omnipotent – for a comfortable game at maximum settings with a resolution of 4K, you will need 2 of these devices. Working in Sli mode, they will give out incredible FPS, you will tear your opponents apart without letting them go.

For this hardware, you need to choose a decent package, such cases make Corsair (760GT 780GT) or Thermaltake (Suppressor F51) – an ultra-quiet case with noise insulation, Cooler Master Storm Stryker White, NZXT Phantom is an excellent solution for quick integration of additional system nodes. All of them are presented in our configurator in the “enclosures” section. Such a monster must be equipped with a good power supply. When installing one video card, Corsair 750W is enough, for two – 850W and higher. It is better to entrust the installation of software to professionals, install “Windows 10” – only this release from Microsoft will fully reveal the potential of the system.

Graphics option

As for graphics stations , it should be noted that the main difference from the systems listed above is the installation of a professional video card, which is designed for visualization, rendering, 3D modeling, CAD, and, oddly enough, it is almost impossible to play on it. Also, in some cases, graphstations sin by installing specialized motherboards that support RAM with error correction and parity, and installing multi-core (up to 18 cores) Xeon series processors from Intel. Powerful multitasking systems.

We have detailed four main categories of desktop computers, which are closely related to each other, but also have a number of significant differences.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I want to note that only 3 computers are presented in this category, but they can be modified and you can get any of those presented on the site. By calling us, you will receive even more detailed advice on all existing categories of desktop computers, and after that it will be very easy to choose a system unit for solving your tasks. We assemble, configure and sell only desktop computers, and therefore we know almost everything about them!
