My recommendations:
1. Lenovo IdeaPad Y570 with Nvidia GT 555M and Intel Core I5 cpu for Max performace while having a good screen too.
2. Dell XPS L502x laptop with a Nvidia GT 540M, Intel Core I5 cpu, really great screen and very good battery runtime (2 hours in full load vs 1.3 hours in the Y570, almost 5 when surfing vs 3.5 hours in the Y570)
Both feature USB 3.0 ports.
* As for myself – I would take the XPS, because the screen is just great, and battery runtime is really important to me too.
** I cannot recommand the HP dv6 / dv6t series right now because I cannot find good and thorough reviews. Saying that, the GPUs in these Laptops are the Radeon HD 6770M and Radeon HD 7690M which offer significantly higher performance than the GT 540M. So, if you like HP or these particular models, you can go for it.

If you’re talking about music playing, then the XPS supposed to have quite good sound quality. However, I wouldn’t buy it just for that.
