Digg This

Hi!

I’d really like to know if there are some requests for things like specific laptops reviews, some laptops comparison (like the Lenovo Y580 vs the MSI GE60 or something), GPUs comparisons, specific games requirements and so on.

Thanks!

    Hey junky!
    Just purchased a dell scratch/dent XPS 15z laptop for $400! But I don’t know much about other specs. Here are the specs:
    * 15.6-inch LED-backlit Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution for native HD 1080p viewing. It also features TrueLife high-gloss/anti-reflective technology for a sharp contrast finish.
    * 2nd gen i7-2640M dual-core processor (I thought i7s were quad cores? Also is the 3rd gen i5-3210 better than the 2nd gen i7-2640? Is this particular CPU with GPU powerful enough for 1080 resolution?)
    * 500 GB SATA hard drive (5400 RPM)
    * 6 GB of installed DDR3 RAM (1333 MHz; 8 GB maximum)
    * NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M graphics with 1 GB of dedicated DDR3 video memory.
    * Backlit keyboard

    What do you think?

    It would be nice to have some more articles on potential upcoming gaming laptops. Then, compare the price and performance to laptops out now and whether they are worth waiting for.

      thanks for the suggestions. I’ll try. Usually, you won’t see any surprises until a new generation of hardware comes out, like the HD 8000 GPUs series (which has not been released yet)

    No way i’m getting the 7660g, i don’t want intergrated graphics card pressuring the rest of my computer. And the 7670m looks like its more for gaming, while the 630m is more for editing, photoshop etc.

    First off, thank you so much for this website I have been checking it several times a week. I am begging you to add something to each of your already helpful sections divided by price. Along with the list of recommended laptops would it be possible to create a separate, but very simple chart that lists video card models that are TYPICALLY found in that range of models. The reason is that so many that you suggest are out of stock that I am having a nightmare time finding other possible alternatives because I see some of the cheaper AMD based laptops but they seem to have 50 different video card models. Just a simple chart that shows an AMD7606 vs AMD7640 vs. AMD7500 vs. Intel 4000HD. You don’t have to list any benchmarks, just a simple ranking based on overall performance. Thanks again.

      yes, you are totally right – I started doing such updated list. Thank you very much!
      Look at the 1000$ recommendations – added small part of recommended 15.6″ gaming laptops with 1080p screen and there, there is a relative performance of GPUs. I think I’ll do something like that.

      What else?
      What do you find as out of stock currently? I know there many are out of stock sometimes. It changes constantly.
