The HP dv6z-7000 is now phased out. The new model is HP Envy dv6z-7200.

Quick & cheap vitamins. Radeon 7730M with A6-4400M cpu and good matte FullHD screen and 6GB DDR3 for 705$ – that’s great performance for the price. Not the best deal for this laptop, but still a good one as you get good matte FullHD screen with a performance and windows OS for a price you don’t get elsewhere currently.

See here the user review on notebookreview - good screen pictures shows how good it is. Very good viewing angles.

1. Go to the dv6z-7000 laptop and enter “Customize”

2. Change the graphics processor to 7730M 2GB and change the screen to the only FullHD option

3. You can add the backlit keyboard (+25$) if you think you need it.

4. Use coupon SAVE20HP.

That’s what you get with the 1080p screen and A6-4400M cpu (705$)

  • AMD Dual-Core A6-4400M (3.0GHz/2.6GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)

Will they ship to Canada? or would i have to ship to the states and pick it up. I live close to the boarder and have a friend who has a mailbox in the states he ships stuff to or would that not work either?

  2. Ilich says:

    But, with taxes is $800

So quick question…i have just made the laptop of my dreams (at least in my price range). I dont really want to buy until closer to christmas. If i dont use that coupon code now, will it expire? Will I lose out on that great deal in a month or two??

Really enjoy your expertise on gaming computers.

I’m thinking of getting this laptop….
    15.6-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
    backlit keyboard
    AMD Dual-Core A6-4400M
    725$

should I spend 50$ more to get the AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M? I would like to enjoy the most recent games with smooth gameplay on medium settings/medium resolution.

    Appreciate the help.
    -Dan

if you can wait – then wait. two weeks ago, for example, you could get it with A10, 7730M, backlit keyboard and fhd screen for 700$

The A8 won’t help you much in games, but it might in some cases and maybe in the future – that’s all I know.
Lets say it like this – are you going to use it more than 2-3 years?

      and thanks

  5. Dominic says:

I tried it, with full hd, will this still run d3 on high? i removed the a8 something – 50$
and this is what i got
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    AMD Dual-Core A6-4400M (3.0GHz/2.6GHz, 1MB L2 Cache)
FREE Upgrade to 6GB 1600MHz DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    Microsoft(R) Office Starter: reduced-functionality Word/Excel(R) only, No PowerPoint(R)/Outlook(R)
    2GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7730M Graphics
FREE Upgrade to 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
    No additional security software
    6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    15.6-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
HP TrueVision Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone + HP SimplePass Fingerprint Reader
    802.11b/g/n WLAN
    Standard Keyboard

i am gonna buy it tommorow since this laptop would be dying already.

      1. are we talking the HP US site? you clicked the link?
      2. The coupon works for laptops that cost 750$+, so with the discount you have from somewhere, it is less than 750$ – maybe this is the issue. Try adding some small thing, like backlit keyboard

      • vaaron says:

I fixed it …. the problem was that i had signed in through an HP account (baffling that they don’t give discounts to registered users!!?)

        The A8-4500M/ 2GB HD 7730M for $599 is a great deal!
But i can wait for 3-4 months… how long do such offers usually last?… are the chances of getting a better deal higher than losing this deal??

        • junky says:

specific offers – week or two, but if you wait enough time, you always get a good deal. It’s not like you’re missing anything

better deal – two weeks ago you could but it with fhd screen, A10, 7730M and a backlit keyboard for 700$, so yes.

  6. vaaron says:

    I tried this combo: Amd A8 / 2GB Radeon 7730 / no HD screen ==> $643.99

But the coupon NB1765 didnt work!?

Do prices drop significantly during thanksgiving??

  7. Dominic says:

Hi i was wondering if this could run Diablo 3? i was thinking of buying it next week, and can it max out League of Legends graphics even with shadows? :c i really need a new lappy.

  8. John says:

I see…but agree that I should wait for a better deal…I have the time

  9. John says:

I just tried it also….followed links in posting and was told that coupon had expired

  10. Dirty Panda says:

The code is no longer valid, is there a similar code that I may use?
