The XoticPC Sager NP6165 15.6″ gaming laptop is a one of laptops based on the famous Clevo W150ER barebone. The build quality is good but heat and noise are so-so at best – but many other laptops with such a hardware and in such a price range. Two HDD bays and the option for very very high FullHD screen (instead the default FullHD one).
Highlights:
- Very High performance for the price (and low price) offering GT 650M GDDR5 and an I5 for 823$ (cash).
- The default screen is a FullHD and more important – Very high quality FullHD option for additional 75$ with the famous AUO screen offering high contrast and brightness and 95% color Gamut coverage. Matte option also exists.
- Highly & easily configurable. You can take it apart relatively easily + it has TWO HDD bays in case you want to add a SSD.
Downsides:
- Heat and noise.
- Average at best battery runtimes.
- No Windows OS included in base price.
- No backlit keyboard.
- The major downside in my opinion – you can buy an HP dv6t-7000 with same performance including Windows OS and usually some more features like 32GB mSSD and a backlit keyboard for 900$.
