I7, GT 650M
Yyou get the good Dell Inspiron 17R SE with GT 650M, I7 and a nice 1080p screen for 850$. If you are looking for a 17.3″ gaming laptop for 1000$ or less, this is a very good option.

Wish I would have pulled the trigger on this when it was $850.00.
I think it will come at some point
I’m with you.
Thanks for the site btw.
Hows the best way to support you? Buy from one of your links?
Thanks!
You should buy what you need, even if it is not one of the links, but yes, that would help. Also, sharing the site or specific deal you liked helps me a lot.
junky,
do you recommend the maxed out dell 17r over the HP dv6z-7200? I am trying to decide between these two seemingly great deals.
oh sorry, missed that one
The 17R SE is far more fast for gaming
If you don’t mind going refurb, you can get this laptop for $695 after using the coupon on this page:

good one!
I’ll add this. Thanks Bob

Dell Inspiron 17R Laptop Computer
the $850 dollar 17R also only has i5 dual core. not the same config
you’re right. fixed
thanks
Now that I look closer the Dell also has two more GB of memory and a 7200rpm hard drive vs the HP 5400 one.
For $750 this is looking like a nice deal.
Hi
Thanks.
Yes, this works for the 15r too. I still haven’t entered it.
The bigger screen doesn’t mean it’s better.
Anyway, the 15R with 150$ is a very good deal, especially because of the high quality FullHD screen compared to the dv4t. You should compare it to the dv6t which doesn’t have better coupons right now.
Also remember that the GT 650M systems sometimes has even up to 50$ performance advantage, so from a pure performance point of view, the GT 650M has a good advantage.
Anyway, a very good deal indeed. I’ll upload it now.
The coupon code you listed also works on the 15R SE, the 15″ model listed at $899 and after coupon for $750. Compared to the HP dv4t for $770 you have listed on the front page the Dell 15R has a slightly worse graphics card (the 7730M vs GT 650M) but has a much bigger screen (15.6″ vs 14″) and is full HD (900p) compared to the 720p on the HP. Other than that the specs look quite similar.
The only thing that is holding me back from the Dell is that it has bad battery life according to this review: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell-Inspiron-15R-Special-Edition-Notebook.78323.0.html
That and it has no msata connection built in though I don’t know if I care too much about that personally.
